MODE 1 is civil society organization dedicated to advance of public policy and practices in the areas of equality and sustainable development. Gender equality in education and in the workplace are our areas of particular focus. We develop management tools and knowledge products conducive to measurable and sustainable progress, and foster multi-sector partnerships with public bodies, private sector, local administration, academic sector, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
MODE 1 succeeds the Working Mother Research and Education Institute. In December od 2021., the Working Mother’s Assembly enacted the decision to expand the mission of the organization, enacted the new constitution, and changed the name of the organization.
The team
Diana Kobas Dešković, President. Dijana is a psychologist, expert on communication and gender equality. For over a decade, Diana was the leader in the area of responsible business practices, and the champion of ESG-based business models. She is the author of the MAMFORCE Standard, a gender equality and work/life balance assessment and certification method for companies.
In our work, we are also aided by a wide network of volunteers and collaborators.
